World Legal Forum

General introduction

The World Legal Forum (WLF) brings together academics, leading business-people and policy makers to address imperative questions on the future of international law. The WLF is an interdisciplinary, intercultural and intersectoral platform, where speakers from all over the world are able to engage in an open and informal debate about more effective international dispute settlement.

The World Legal Forum Foundation will host on December 7th and 8th 2009 the third World Legal Forum at the Peace Palace in The Hague. The main theme is:
"Public Supervision on Private International Regulation."

In 2007, at the first World Legal Forum, the main theme was "Effective International Dispute Settlement", and in 2008 "Public and Private Actors in International Lawmaking."
