Mucic, Zdravko

From May to November 1992, Zdravko Mucić was Commander of the Čelebići prison-camp, which was established by the Bosnian Muslim and Bosnian Croat forces in mid 1992 and located near Konjic in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. On 16 November 1998, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia convicted Mucić of grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions and violations of the laws or customs of war. He was indicted with Esad Landžo, Hazim Delić, and Zejnil Delalić (Case IT-96-21 "Čelebići").

On 16 November 1998, Trial Chamber II sentenced Mucić to 7 years’ imprisonment. On 9 October 2001, the Appeals Chamber increased his sentence to 9 years’ imprisonment. On 18 July 2003, Mucić was granted early release having been given credit for the time he had spent in custody since 18 March 1996.
