European Centre for Conflict Prevention

General introduction
ECCP logoThe European Centre for Conflict Prevention (ECCP) is a non-governmental organisation that promotes effective conflict prevention and peace-building strategies, and actively supports and connects people working for peace worldwide.

The vision of the ECCP is a world in which people are able and willing to prevent and transform violent conflicts peacefully. The organisation believes in a multi-track approach, the importance of local capacities for peace, partnerships with local organisations, long-term engagement and impartiality.

The European Centre for Conflict Prevention holds the secretariat for the European Platform for Conflict Prevention and Transformation and for the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict.

In April 2006, the ECCP relocated its office from Utrecht and is now based in The Hague.
